9/YEARNING

Why won’t you accept my love?
I give it freely, no handcuffs of chance
I’ll spill every drop of my soul on this floor
But all you give me, is a worried glance

Why am I always more hurt than you?
When you leave me on this landing alone
Off to your parties, your love, your life
Friend’s whose real love you’ll never know

I’m asking these questions to a taunting void
All can be heard, are pitiful cries
This yearning hurts like a fever-dream
All lost in depths of my shallow eyes
